What actually gives with Microsoft Security Essentials? Like I mean, the only thing missing is start-up control and Windows Defender is a goner. Is that the goal?

Shock horror, Microsoft beta software that works!
I ran into a nasty piece of malware yesterday, not even sure where it appeared from, first I knew of it was Microsoft Securtiy Essentials throwing up a pop up to say it had detected a problem. It then gave me options on what I wanted to do, I picked auto clean and it just quietly got on and removed the offending problem.
It was catogerised as severe but had no hassles in getting rid.

I had a hard time uninstalling ESET the regular way. I had to use a program called REVO uninstaller because ESET leaves behind a lot of garbage. I did write a support ticket and they sent me an uninstaller also. I still went the REVO way. Chris, if your still having problems, e-mail me.
